Our Story
Avian WE, known then as Avian Media, was founded in a small apartment in Delhi in 2004 by three of our leaders: Nikhil Khanna, Manash Neog and Neha Mehrotra. We started with just two clients: Airbus, the world’s largest commercial aircraft manufacturer, and Sona Koyo, an Indian auto parts manufacturer. As the agency grew, we expanded our presence to Mumbai and then Bangalore.
Nitin Mantri’s arrival as CEO and business partner heralded a massive change and an era of growth for the company. During the next few years, we expanded our team and offering: We started Chase, our public affairs consultancy, and established dedicated social impact and EXPD (experiential digital and content) practices. We then extended our footprint further by inaugurated new offices in Chennai and Pune as we grew our client partnerships.
In 2018, global independent integrated communications agency WE Communications took a stake in Avian, forming the Avian WE our clients have come to know today. Since then, we have continued creating great work with our clients while growing our business with new partnerships with leading technology, health and consumer brands. Two of our largest relationships to date include Samsung and Amazon India. Recognising the important role data will play in shaping the future of communications, we recently set up our Insights and Analytics practice. Our work has been noticed. In partnership with our clients, we have garnered recognition from nearly all Indian and regional industry awards, including Campaign Asia, Fulcrum Awards, ICCO, IPRCCA and PRovoke Media, amongst others.
